What Counts for GreenAward?

Any scenario to make your product greener is applicable for GreenAward.

 

To the right is a shortlist of possible scenarios that you can think about.  

Criteria

Eco-friendly Materials

Is your product made of recycled, recyclable, or green materials?

Material Examples: anything that is recycled (i.e plastic, glass, rubber), bamboo, bioplastic, cork, hemp, organic cotton

​

Product Examples: Patagonia's recycled plastic jackets, bamboo toothbrushes, AllBird's shoes, Addidas Recycled shoes.

Eco-friendly Manufacture

Did you get your product from eco-friendly manufacturers/companies?

Locally sourced Products

Is your product locally sourced?

Locally sourced products save on shipping and 

​

Use different transportation methods to ship your product.

Example: Farm boy

Eco-friendly Packaging

​Is your product reducing packaging or using green packaging?

​

Packaging your product differently by using greener packaging material and/or avoiding over-packaging.

 

For example, avoid double-boxing, and minimizing packing fillers. 

 

Green Packaging material example: bio-degradable or recycled packaging, corrugated packaging, Glassine packaging, cellulose, cornstarch, mushroom, seaweed packaging.

Does your product help the environment?

Does your product allow users to reuse, recycle or reduce the impact on the environment?
